After a relatively mild fall, we are now approaching our winter season. Please be sure that items are picked up and stored out of the way.
Remember the declarations state that the parking spaces shall be used for parking vehicles only. If you have a Trailer, Boat or Recreational Vehicle stored in your driveway it needs to be removed from your driveway and stored elsewhere. It is important that the driveways are kept clear so that the snow removal crew can do their job.
Check and be sure there are no garden hoses connected to your unit as that has caused the faucet to freeze and break ( as it can’t drain properly) and flood the unit, the next time it is used.
There is an opening on the Board. If you have a willingness to participate in a way that supports the diverse and common good of the community and its members, please consider volunteering. Most business is taken care of by timely response to emails with an occasional board meeting. Candidates should have a genuine interest in the financial success of The Meadows Condominium Association as it has a main goal of protecting the property values of all the individual owners.
Check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors on occasion to see that the equipment is working properly. Most brands have a tester button that when pushed tells you it is in good working order. It has been recommended by the Anchorage Fire Department, that each unit also has a UL listed / FM approved fire extinguisher (s) with a minimum rating of 2A:10B:C. It must be easily visible and accessible for use in the event of a fire.
